Poking at Beehives, a new exhibition of the paintings of three contemporary painters, Leslie Shows, Fred Tomaselli, and
Peter Edlund. The special ticketed opening is Wednesday, January 11, and a limited number of tickets are still available for $40-$55. The event
includes talks by the three featured artists, food catered by local restaurants, adult beverages and an art auction, which includes works by Chagall,
Roy De Forest, and a dozen other artists, including Creative Arts League member, Shirley Hazlett.

| Jessup Hosts National Juried Art Show |
| Exhibition entitled 'Celebrating Artistic Expression' feauturing Maria Winkler |
| ROCKLIN, Calif.,-William Jessup University will host a National Juried Art Show in the Paul Nystrom Library beginning with an opening |
| reception that is free and open to the public on November 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibit will run through December 16. |
| From the 300 plus images submitted, juror Natalie Nelson selected 54 works of art and photography submitted by 39 artists from as far away |
| as New York and Florida. The resulting exhibit showcases original fine art in a variety of media including fine art prints, painting and |
| sculpture in traditional as well as contemporary media and style, figurative to abstract. |
| "In selecting the art for this juried exhibit at William Jessup University, I was overwhelmed by the diversity of work presented, from abstract |
| paintings to realistic depictions of nature," Nelson said. "I am honored to be part of selecting the works for this exhibit." |
| Nelson has served as director and curator at the Pence Gallery in Davis, California, for six years. The Pence was awarded 2007 best large |
| art organization in the greater Sacramento region by the Sacramento Arts and Business Council, thanks to Nelson's consistent presentation |
| of high caliber exhibits and development of strong educational programs for families and school children. |
| The free art show will be open to the public through December 16, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. |
