Founded in 1952, the Creative Arts League of Sacramento (CALS) is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, exhibiting, educating and the building of community around a shared interest in art and exemplary fine craft throughout our region.
Vision and Goals
Connect and engage enthusiastic individuals through dynamic projects and activities designed to increase aesthetic and technical understanding and to broaden local awareness and appreciation of fine contemporary craft.
Serve as a premier Arts Resource for our community devoted to the promotion, acquisition, exhibition and education in the field of fine craft at the Crocker Art Museum and other local venues
Develop opportunities for participants to positively impact our community by bringing their creative thinking, inspiration and skills together to achieve CALS goals
Work collaboratively to develop programs and activities designed to support contemporary fine craft Exhibitions, Catalogs and Educational Materials, Endowments and Scholarships for the benefit of our community
Host Tours to exceptional art and fine craft exhibitions, art galleries, private collections and studios in Northern California
Fund, maintain and enhance the expansion of the CALS Endowments at the Crocker Art Museum
